  Job SummaryThe Upholsterer/Assembler is responsible for upholstering components used in lifting systems and exam tables. Attention to detail is required due to continually changing models, styles and colors of product.
  
  Key Responsibilities
  • Staple fabric to wood and/or plastic substrate
  • Follow established work instructions/procedures
  • Perform cutting of upholstery materials using pattern layouts, templates and measuring rules
  • Visually inspect quality of work
  • Float between stations and coordinate work with other team members
    
    Physical Demands
    • Ability to lift, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods of time.
    • Moderate to heavy lifting - average of 30 pounds regularly (once per hour), with the possibility of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
    • Reaching - Extending hands and arms in any direction.
    • Fingering & Grasping - Handling small components with fingers and applying pressure to objects with fingers and palms.
    • Visual acuity required to ensure accuracy, quality, and neatness in work.
      
      Qualifications
      • 1-2 years of upholstery or fabricating experience preferred.
      • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
      • Experience working with power tools and hand tools.
      • Ability to understand and communicate basic English.
      • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
      • Consistent and timely attendance is required.
