As a Structural Project Manager, your days will be spent:
- Leading a project team to ensure quality work
- Developing, monitoring, and managing project budgets
- Managing project scope, schedule, and staffing
- Effectively communicating with clients
- Ensuring project-specific delivery requirements are met
- Leading project pursuits, securing contract work, negotiating
contracts, and providing updates as requested
- Providing mentorship, guidance, and development to staff
- Developing and maintaining client and stakeholder
relationships
- Collaborating with colleagues and utilizing internal resources
to continuously enhance your professional skills
- Participating in the design of routine and unique
transportation related structures in the State of Wisconsin.
- Administering JT's Quality Assurance process for all projects
To excel from day one, you'll need:
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an
accredited university
- 7+ years of relevant experience with multiple years leading
projects
- A Professional Engineer (PE) License (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills?
- Technical competence in developing and managing project
budgets?
- Knowledge of client standards and Quality Control
processes?
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to
worksites, meetings with clients, and attend conferences
- To be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without
time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in
the country where this position is located
- To occasionally travel out-of-town and overnight for
professional development and/or project-related work
- Knowledge of the use of common structural engineering codes,
standards, and practices for the transportation structures industry
