WVRC - has -three hospital locations: Waukesha, Racine and Grafton all dedicated to providing patients, clients, and referring veterinarians the highest quality emergency and specialty veterinary medical care. WVRC offers a warm, friendly atmosphere where our main goal is to provide compassionate care to our patients and clients as well as offering outstanding customer service.WVRC Waukesha has an opening for a Veterinary Assistant in our Emergency Department! We are offering a $1000 hiring bonus for this position!The Veterinary Technician Assistant provides key support to the technician and veterinarian staff. - Must be friendly, professional and courteous, and capable of handling several tasks at once with frequent interruptions. - Must be able to take direction from multiple staff members while adhering to training standards.

Schedule and Compensation: -

• This position is for third -shift
• Four 9-10 hour shifts each week, including every other weekend
• 4 Holidays per year -
• Pay starts at $15 an hour and may be higher depending on experience
• $1000 hiring bonus (will be paid after 90 days of employment)Essential Functions:

  Multi-tasking and attention to detail skills are required. - Must have the ability to stand for the majority of the work period and enough stamina to work past the regularly scheduled shifts, if needed. - -

  Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Restraining of patients
  • Cleaning Kennels, Floors, etc.
  • Stocking the treatment areas
  • Laundry
  • Taking patients outside
