• Certification Details
• Registry eligible through the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers).
• Registration in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB) and Vascular (VT) required.
• Breast registration required at sites that perform Breast Ultrasound.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life support for the Healthcare provider (BLS) or an equivalent required within 90 days of hire.
  • Job Details
  • Position requires knowledge of imaging techniques for all areas of ultrasound: OB/GYN, Abdominal, Small Parts, Breast (site specific) Vascular, OR and Procedure in accordance with ACR guidelines and department specific policies.
  • Assists with providing 24/7 coverage of the Ultrasound Service with rotating Saturdays, holidays and call coverage.
  • Performs sonographic examination according to department standards and protocols using sound ergonomics to prevent injury.
  • Produces high quality images and ensures that all images are appropriately labeled and identified.
  • Analyzes physician orders and patient history to ensure correlation between patient history and exam to be administered.
  • Contributes technical and professional knowledge to the interpreting physician.
  • Able to work with other departments and modalities for appropriate scheduling and throughput of exams.
    • Job Requirements
    • One year of current clinical experience is preferred.
    • Candidate must be proficient with ultrasound equipment and have basic knowledge of patient care equipment.
    • Newly hired, experienced sonographers must be registry eligible through the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers).
    • Sonographers will be required to be registered in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB) and Vascular (VT).
    • Breast registration required at sites that perform Breast Ultrasound.
    • Each registry not obtained at the time hire will need to be completed every 9 months until all registries are complete.
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life support for the Healthcare provider (BLS) or an equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.

      • Provides 24/7 coverage of the Ultrasound Service with rotating Saturdays, holidays and call coverage.

        • Familiarity with McKesson PACS, Epic EMR preferred.
